Touchstone Supports Jimmy Bartel and his Face Up to DV Campaign

As some of you know, as well as playing for the Geelong Cats, Jim Bartel has worked with Touchstone and our related businesses since 2013.  He’s also become a close friend to all of us here.

Earlier this year, Jimmy launched a campaign against domestic violence, Face Up to DV, to support the Luke Batty Foundation and Bethany, a Geelong-based community support organisation

To kick off the initiative, on Easter Sunday, Jimmy was interviewed by the Herald Sun, in which he discussed his own family’s personal story of domestic violence.   This was extremely difficult, not only for Jim, but for the whole Bartel family - but they were all in agreement that they wanted to make a difference on this issue.

As part of his campaign to get people talking about DV, Jimmy committed to not shaving until the end of the season, to help bring attention to this important issue.   A link to the interview is below:

And this link below is evidence of his commitment to the beard:

In recognition of his 300th game on Friday, July 29th, Touchstone is committing $5,000.00 to Jimmy’s campaign.  Please consider donating, especially if your philanthropic strategies include supporting families, children, women and eradicating domestic abuse.

For any business that also commits $5,000.00 or more to the Face Up to DV Campaign, Jim is happy to come to your business, and present to your team his views on leadership, accountability, high performance, or of course, the impact of domestic violence on families and on society.

So, as well as supporting a great cause, you can have the opportunity to hear one of the most decorated players in modern AFL history give his unique views on how thinking like an elite football team can positively impact your business.

If you are interested in taking part of this great initiative, please let me know, and I will be happy to connect you with Jim.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

 Kind regards,

Chris
